Adversity… Take the High Road

“The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.”  ..M. Scott Peck

I heard a passing comment on the radio the other day about how we don’t want to let a good crisis go to waste–referring to our current economic state.  Then, a couple of days later, Max Pigman began a presentation to Tampa Bay Realtors with the above quote from the book The Road Less Traveled.

Now is not the time to feel sorry for yourself and blame the economy and news media on whatever hardships you are experiencing.  It is an opportunity to take the high road, look at the way we can do things differently and seek to understand how we can improve the way we conduct business, as well as deepen our relationships and partnerships.  Then, as business rebounds, we will slingshot to the front with a much stronger foothold and clearness of vision.

“Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed on an equal or greater benefit.” ..Napoleon Hill
