About Steve

Greetings and welcome to our blog.  This is a lot of fun, and I’m excited now to have keyboard (and spell check) in hand.  Please also note the Twitter Tweets and Facebook Posts in the column to the right.  You can elect to receive RSS feeds or simply email notifications for an easier follow.

I’ve said time and time again that I would not go into business for myself ever again… well, never say never!  This is the perfect opportunity because  I am very fortunate to have found an individual (who I have known 15+ years) to partner a new company with… and likely would have not done so if not for her complementary strengths and insights.  With that, I introduce you to Cheryl McCormick Brown, and we are now, McAuliffe & McCormick, Inc.

My name is Steve McAuliffe, currently living along the beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida waterfront.  I am a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker.  A huge fan of  the Tampa Bay Rays who enjoys music, gourmet cooking, sushi, reading (self-educating), water polo and good friends.

My industry leadership extends to expanding roles in a variety of national and regional industry groups, including serving on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and the Tampa Bay Builders Association (past-president). Also, a past Trustee of the NAHB’s Sales and Marketing Council as well as its Institute of Residential Marketing, and past Chairman of the FHBA Sales and Marketing Council.

In 2003, I was awarded the FHBA’s prestigious John P. Hall Award for Sales and Marketing Excellence, and in 1998, the Regional Marketing Director of the Year by the NAHB  And, have earned the respected NAHB designations of Member Institute of Residential Marketing (MIRM) and Certified New Home Sales Professional (CSP). I hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Principia College in Elsah, IL where I was also an All Conference and All American Water Polo player.

Recently, Cheryl and I were charged with the sales and marketing for the remaining forclosed 137  inventory homes at downtown Tampa’s Towers of Channelside.  We sold all homes in just over a year’s time to the tune of $45 million, making the Receiver, Bank Syndication and Hedge Fund very happy.
